Apple Music has never been this far ahead of Spotify

With the new iOS update, Apple Music has pulled ahead with stronger discovery tools, neat new UI elements, and steadier pricing, while Spotify is struggling with late lossless rollout and rising costs. For users in Apple's ecosystem, the transition is now easier to justify than before.

Interesting read, but I think this jumps to conclusions a bit too quickly.

A lot of the argument hinges on Apple "closing the discovery gap," yet the author hasn't actually used the new feature they're praising... That makes the comparison feel more speculative than real. Discovery has been Spotify's biggest strength for years, and it's not something you can evaluate based on feature descriptions alone.

There's also quite a bit of subjective framing here - UI preferences, "TikTok-style" criticism, and even the audio quality argument (which most people won't notice without specific gear). On paper, Apple Music looks great, but real-world experience can be very different depending on how and where you listen.

Furthermore, the text employs emotionally charged language and misleading comparisons regarding artist payouts, functioning more as subjective marketing content than objective analysis. It also feels very centered around being in the Apple ecosystem, while ignoring the fact that Spotify often bundles podcasts, audiobooks, and broader platform support.

I do agree Apple Music has improved a lot, but this reads more like a personal switch justification than a balanced comparison. Not recommended.
