Apple's MacBook Neo attracts new customers that probably do not care about the technical limitations

The MacBook Neo is a polarizing device and Apple wants to attract new customers with a starting price of $599 or $499 for the education sector, respectively. There are technological compromises, but you still get the familiar MacBook experience with a comprehensive software package.

Mainly thrifty shoppers who do not wish for Window's or Linux and don't have needs or use for higher performance (AND costly!) systems.

Frankly, quite a bit can be done on/with a Neo. While larger than an iPad the Neo offers more functionality and use cases 'out of the box'.

Surely a 'market reset' on what can be had & done with a $600 computing device.
