There is plenty of academic research that has already established that vocals or music with vocals interfere with cognitive tasks and prevent the activation of DMN (Default Mode Network)

Creativity flourishes mostly in DMN states only.

BTW, most of the podcasts are useless information that we forget in a day or two.
