The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra performs better than its predecessor in the DxOMark camera analysis, but Samsung cannot keep up with the best competitors. Even the older Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max can achieve a higher score.

This isn't surprising considering Samsung's slow camera upgrades over the years. It was bound to catch up with them at some point.

My question would be: is this an arbitrary "go faster" thing or does this affect the vast majority of real world use cases? The price/performance curve isn't a straight line - it's exponential. That means the cost even for a small improvement at the top is very high and may not be worth it at all, making this very much a rich person's  0th World Problem.
