Steam is full of voxel survival games inspired by Minecraft. Even so, Microsoft believes that Allumeria violates copyrights by using all-too-familiar graphics or gameplay. Now delisted, its developer is considering how to respond to the DMCA takedown.

Personally, I'm getting tired of these uninspired Minecraft clones. What are we, up to a hundred now? Wow, randomly generated worlds with fully-interactable pixel-art block-motif environments! What is this, 2008? It's time for something fresh.

Minecraft isn't the only voxel based game out there, evidently so by looking through the vast catalogue of publishers and developers which created their own.

Microsoft chasing after other games similar to Minecraft stinks like Nintendo chasing after anyone who dares to put animals not akin to real-life mammals into their games. Disgusting business practice, however at least Nintendo built their own IP, Microsoft hasn't imagined anything original since Halo games.

Going to be hard to prove considering you cannot own voxel-based games as a concept, en masse!
