Indeed, today, more than 6,000 exoplanets have been discovered, but the vast majority of them are gas giants or too close to their star.

There needs to be a (better) definition for what a habitable/earth-like planet is, than the word "exoplanet", because this word doesn't mean that the planet is habitable, but it is nice that we can discover these in the first place (hence the name, prob), I guess.
