A flurry of third-party Switch 2 games looms, but some titles may prove too demanding for the console. The director of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy describes the struggles that publishers face. Regardless, Naoki Hamaguchi says that the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Switch 2 port is almost complete.

I usually like your articles but you keep getting stuff a little wrong. The switch and switch 2 are hybrid consoles. Not just a handheld. It more apparently with the switch 2. Also the article is misleading. The developer said he knows some publishers are having difficulty with getting their games to run very smooth. Not all of them obviously. Also just because they are not very smooth doesn't mean the can't run at all. To add on to this, the same dev said that only the handheld specs of switch 2 hold it back not the docked ones. Ff7 remake was never an impossible port for switch 2. Rebirth will likely be though but I believe only handheld mode would take a humongous hit to it in performance and graphics.
