ARC Raiders dev claims they built an auction house-like trading system for the game but later removed it as it's "very risky territory"

They better not ever. One of the biggest issues Tarkov had was RMT, and they had to work backwards to try and combat it in the game. So much so. 90% of the restrictions in game from what you can take in, safe box, how much you can carry of an item, what items can be saved, or the tax system on the AH. All to combat RMT due to trading and the AH. There have been literal posts of people admitting to RMT because how cheap it is and "they dont have time to play, so its justified".

Even though Arc Raiders is very accessible to casual playerbase in an extraction shooters, this also bring in the most lazy people, who would gladly pay a few dollars for a bunch of bp or large quanity of items to sell for in game currency. Think how easier that would be with an AH system.

They axed an auction house because they felt it made the game all about coins, and then released a season mechanic that makes the game all about coins. I don't mind the game not having an auction, but that logic is ironic given the current state of expeditions.
