Micron exited the consumer DRAM market in December 2025, leaving Samsung and SK Hynix as the two major players left to supply the demand. It is now rumored that SK Hynix may follow Micron's lead and exit the consumer DRAM and NAND markets.

SK Hynix leaving the market is huge, a 1/3 loss of DRAM & NAND for consumer will push up prices even more than what they are today, your home and business PC prices will jump dramatically.

The worst year to buy a laptop. Neither the new AMD nor Intel processors will be able to revitalize the laptop market, and let's not forget that in 2026 there will be five competitors selling laptops: AMD, Intel, Qualcomm, Nvidia+Mediatek, and Apple. If RAM prices rise, laptops will reach prices close to $2,000, which means they won't sell due to their storage stock, and Intel's foundries will have to shut down due to lack of sales. I don't know, but I foresee a major disaster in consumer computing.

QuoteIntel's foundries will have to shut down

AI tries to trick us readers by promoting AMD nevertheless and indirectly.
