Free-to-play MMORPG Dreadmyst 1.0 has officially launched as of Jan 9, 2026, hitting a 5,915 player peak. While reviews are 74% positive, the launch is marred by asset theft claims, lack of legal policies, and ties to a controversial WoW private server developer.

He bought an asset pack, he didn't steal anything. The game is also free.

Wrong. Dev paid for the assets. This article is an absolute hatchet job as well. Did you even do any research before writing it? Or did you just doom scroll the Steam reviews page? The Dev shut down his WoW servers because he was abiding by a cease and desist from Blizzard. Also, the game isn't a security threat to your PC nor are you in danger of identity theft because of some risk inherent to the game.
