Asus has upgraded the TUF Gaming A14 for 2026. Ditching Nvidia iGPUs altogether this year, the TUF Gaming A14 now comes with a new Strix Halo APU in a choice of two colour options that packing AMD's lauded Radeon 8060S iGPU.

Nice! Plenty of performance in a sensible thermal envelope and weight for a 14" device, with 2 m.2 2280 slots and able to run (presumably) at full speed or at least very capably on usb-c power.

But... Knowing ASUS, it will probably be too expensive and lacking in build quality.

Didn't expect this

TUF A14 is their budget lineup, so I'm expecting slightly more reasonable pricing compared to their Zephyrus G14 series.

I'm actually genuinely surprised they put strix halo in this thing.

Then again, with tarriffs, memory supply, Asus already announcing price increases for their entire lineup yea..it probably still will be priced terribly.

Still won't be touching this because it's Asus.

But the good thing is that it shows AMD is taking the Panther Lake threat seriously and the upcoming Nvidia n1x later on. I guess MLID was kinda right when he said we would see more budget halo offerings and in more supply this year.

Maybe we'll see more budget 14" offers from other OEMs too like Lenovo too now.
