Asus confirms discontinuation of Zenfone and ROG Phone, at least in 2026

No Zenfone 13 or ROG Phone 10 in 2026. This is the latest news from Taiwan, where Asus is reportedly finding it increasingly difficult to compete with Chinese and Korean brands. The long-term future of Asus' mobile division remains to be seen.

After the sh*tshow of the Zenfone 9 in regards to bootloader unlocking + early hardware issues on some batches, no wonder people left them waiting.

Zenfone 10 was a "side" grade at most, and the 11 and onwards was just another boring big glass slab, and no headphone jack on them even though it was bigger made it feel like a slap on the face.

So, good riddance Asus.
