A Switch 2 firmware update may have finally fixed Ethernet ports on the console's dock

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a versatile console, but its dock suffered from a fatal flaw. A malfunctioning Ethernet port made WiFi often a less-than-desirable fallback option. Many gamers are confirming that the 21.1.0 update solved the flaky wired internet connectivity.

Okay, so the Switch 2 dock had Ethernet woes, huh? Annoying! Wonder if Nintendo stress-tested that part enough before launch. The 21.1.0 update supposedly fixes the dodgy wired internet, finally? Pips NYT  Makes you wonder how widespread the issue was, and how many frustrated gamers suffered through laggy online matches because of it. Reminds me of when my old router kept dropping the connection during crucial online gaming sessions; pure agony!

You know I see all these articles about people whining and fucking crying about problems with a Nintendo switch 2 and it's dark and all this other bullshit well if there is all these fucking problems with it why am I the only one that's never had a fucking problem there's no problem with the console there's no problem with the doc there's no problem with the ethernet ports you're all just a bunch of whiny fucking bitches pull your head out of your a** and shut the f*** up because there's nothing wrong with the console there's nothing wrong with the dock there's nothing wrong with the controllers for it everything works great you're just a bunch of fucking whiners so shut the f*** up before I shut you up myself

Bought my switch 2, had it on Ethernet and it would drop connection randomly and thus dc me from matches. My network is rock solid for everything else on that Ethernet switch and my switch 1 with a usb Ethernet adapter didn't have issues.

Only my switch 2 on Ethernet did. That said, I switched to WiFi and the issue went away. I am probably not going to bother with Ethernet again because WiFi on the switch 2 is much better. It can handle channels above 149 for instance. The switch 1 could not, at least not the og release. Oled might have an improved chip but never checked as my wife was the one with that and not myself.
