Garmin has been very active in the wearable segment in 2025, both in terms of hardware and software. More devices should be in the works and hit the market in 2026.

Hope we'll get a new SoC as the 2011 one that is still used in the top devices is damn slow , especially compared to competitors devices that go at a fraction of Garmin devices..

Garmin released a lot of watches in 2025. For whatever reason, I wasn't excited about any of them as a replacement for my FR955. The cellular watches are handicapped by Apple where you can't use them seemlessly to make calls like with the Apple or Samsung or Pixel watches. The AMOLED display is a turn off for me to wear as a regular watch all day. It's like wearing your iPhone on your wrist. Do love the LED light but is that by itself worth the upgrade? The FR955 hit that sweet spot of functionality without cluttering the watch with bells and whistles that add very little to nothing to it's usability.
