Battery life on x64 with Strix is pathetic, showing just how far behind Intel and AMD are for mobile apu efficiency. The fact that it was the M4 Max that crushed Strix Point in battery life and not even the base M4, is even more impressive.

Thank You for a lovely comparison. I have both identical devices and I prefer Asus. The Tandem OLED is an absolute blast for YT videos and media consumption, alas, the device is riddled with high noise emissions as You mentioned. As You also mentioned and while being very low, Apple device is plagued by blooming, which is noticable at low light conditions and at night for media consumption, mostly HDR. Not entirely sure why Apple can't, or won't use the same retardation filters from their iOS MiniLED devices. There's literally almost no blooming at all present on those. Or ask EiZO or NEC for a hand in this case. OLED has simply superior image quality for day to day media consumption.

I've got the Asus Proart P16 4070 version.  It's overall great, but battery life is certainly no where near as good as I'd hoped, and there's loads of little niggles relating to power management, and of course Windows itself. Pen is nice to have, but the normal laptop form factor means I'm using it way less than I did on my prior computer, a Surface Laptop Studio.

I'd move to a MacBook tomorrow, but the CUDA moat is real - same reason I can't take advantage of the snapdragon windows laptops. Until we get nvidia drivers for arm (even if just for eGPU), laptops like the Proart P16 are about as good as we're going to get.
