Rumors surrounding Valve's long-absent Half-Life 3 have intensified, with industry insiders claiming the game will launch alongside the newly announced Steam Machine hardware ecosystem in Spring 2026. While component price volatility is reportedly delaying concrete pricing and announcements, multiple leaks suggest Half-Life 3 is real, playable end-to-end, and planned as the definitive conclusion to Gordon Freeman's story.

Rumors were wrong already, so who cares. And what's this obsession with HL3 anyways? I don't know why but the HL franchise never pulled me in that much. Back in the days when HL1 came out, I think it was ok, but personally I found games like Unreal and Sin more interesting ...

And then Half Life 2 came out, and everybody was confused "meh, what is that thing, it's completely different, doesn't make sense, not the expected sequel, worse than HL1" etc. Also Episode 1 had not much content except gravity gun riddles, which got was very tedious. Episode 2 was a bit better, but only so much as to compensate for the previous episode.

And now everyone is like "Half Life is the best in the world, we can't wait for HL3, where is it? It comes at this date, and that date, and and and  ...

Seriously .... WTF? Overrated as F...

Another round of HL3 rumours to make up for the lack of good news and innovative products, the memory price apocalypse and the pretty bad year 2025 has been tech-wise in general?
