A couple of years ago, in made the decision to switch from a gaming console (Xbox) to a gaming PC because of Microsoft's failure to fully embrace the console and to put more emphasis on non exclusive gaming platforms. I decided on a gaming laptop and the Acer NitroV series made the short list. I was torn between a more robust 15.6 inch laptop or a slightly not as powerful 18 inch. I went with the 18 inch and boy am I glad . Gaming on this larger screen is quite a difference. And with the games I'm playing, the slightly older GPU doesn't slouch. I rarely drop below 120 fps at full/high res specs. I'm a primarily FPS gamer and play mainly Halo and Borderlands... And the speed and graphics are more than acceptable! I have a work laptop with a 15.6 inch screen and find myself using my gaming laptop and accessing work as a VM more than using the work laptop when working from home because of the screen size! The only downside is that this laptop is huge! Many carryon bags will struggle to accommodate this thing. And the 6+ pound weight makes you know you're carrying a big laptop... And the power brick is equally huge!
