As midge season hits, a game changing 3D printed ring could be the solution we have all been waiting for. Using IR3535 repellent, this wearable tech offers long lasting protection without the sticky mess of sprays. Perfect for those in the Highlands or anyone who spends time outdoors, it is discreet, effective and eco friendly

At last, thankyou. Where & when can I buy one please? Would be willing to trial one as I get bitten to death wherever I travel.

It's a gimmick, and the simple reason is that midges travel in large clouds, and when they bite, they don't just bite where they land on your skin (sometimes they do). They land and then they crawl UP your arm or, VERY OFTEN, up your angle. And they crawl very, very long way, and then they bite you where the sun don't shine, if you know what I mean. So, unless the magic finger rings offers a 'dome' of protection with a radius of 2 m AT LEAST, it's only useful to protect your hand. One hand. Maybe an arm. But not your face, eyes, ears, nose, neck, check (crawling DOWN) - or your backside, when they crawl up the ankles (unless you wear gaiters around your trousers). Magical ring, my (...)! ;)

A "Flea Collar" for Homosapiens?

I've been wearing veterinary grade flea a tick collars on the ankles of my hiking boots since the early 1980s with great success.

Not only will this work, it will work well!

I wonder if a hat band for my Stetson could keep them away from my head and neck?
