Dell only announced its first laptop with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chip, namely the XPS 13 (9345), on Monday. The company has now confirmed that the device will be the first laptop in the world to be delivered with a tandem OLED display like in the new Apple iPad Pro.

Too bad its an xps 13.... literally the worst XPS you can buy, and arguably one of the worst 13" systems on the market...

"likely to ensure runtimes of up to 16 hours when streaming video"

With the statements "likely" and "up to", it might also be much less. As so often, initially we only get uninteresting video battery runtimes, which tend to be much exaggerated compared to general Wifi battery runtimes. So "16 hours" threaten to become less than 5 hours for real usage.

What is this trash? LG in 2017., they have a patent for "tandem OLED" since then when they invented it. But yeah, nothing ever exists anywhere until Apple. Apple has created the whole planet.

What a rubbish article, written by an Apple fanboy. It's not "Tandem OLED panels", the name of this TYPE of panel is DOUBLE LAYER OLED, and LG has had patents for them for over 10 years, they were already used in panels in some cars. The reason for not being used in other devices is the price: obviously it is at least 2x more expensive than a common OLED, but beyond the extra brightness there are no other advantages. Apple was the first to assume this extra cost, as its products have a higher profit margin.

LOL, Dell's own internal documents (which leaks earlier this month and proven to be quite accurate) call it tandem OLED. And go to Google scholar and type in Tandem OLED you will see multiple research articles calling it "tandem organic light-emitting diodes" from 2004, 2005.

sauf que vous auriez pousser un peu plus loin votre recherche, vous auriez appris que tandem OLED n'est qu'un simple renommage commercial comme le sont les termes Retina, XDR et autres aberration tout droit sorti d'un esprit tordu
