According to the manufacturer, the Minisforum MS-01 is a workstation for performance-hungry workloads. Equipped with an Intel Core i9-13900H as well as fast DDR5 RAM, it can accommodate several SSDs in the device - all this sounds promising. The MS-01 also has a physical PCIe x16 interface for installing expansion cards. In this review, we explore the question of whether Minisforum has succeeded in creating a powerful workstation or whether it is just a simple mini-PC for everyday use.

Most of the Youtube reviews (or practically all) were actually raving about this device. Maybe it's just a lemon.

That being said, if someone likes this form factor, he could also wait for the "AsRock Jupiter" version of this device, although it's kinda overdue.... strange... as if companies are holding back..

Workstation? Does it have real ECC support at least?
Or is it just an other Chinese computers with a cool name?

The PCIe slot is single slot and half-height, it's going to be really hard finding a dGPU that's good enough to make this thing worth it.

And no it's not real/full ECC RAM, it's a consumer platform so you get the basic error correction code that's inherent to consumer DDR5 memory rather than actual workstation-grade ECC RAM.
