I doubt that they will ship the Model 2 with no FSD hardware, there is too much upside in selling FSD software. More likely it will have HW3 or perhaps die shrunk HW3. The process lines for HW3 will be very mature by then, the yields are great and the capital costs have been paid for so the chips will be cheap. Moving to a later but still mature node might also make sense because it would reduce the die size, Tesla will do the math and figure out what's cheapest. Same thing for the cameras, HW3 resolution cameras will be very cheap. The FSD software will have to support HW3 for a very long time anyway because there are millions of HW3 cars on the road. The subscription price on the 2 could be lower than it is for the higher end cars but it would still be a significant revenue stream.
