Hey Everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. I've been encountering a bit of a coding hiccup on my Lenovo laptop and could really use some expert advice from this awesome community.

Laptop Specifications:

Laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9

RAM: 16GB LPDDR4x
Storage: 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD

Development Environment:
IDE: Visual Studio Code v1.60.2
Language: JavaScript (Node.js)
Project Type: Full-stack web development using React and Node.js

I've been diligently working on my e-commerce website using Visual Studio Code, and lately, I've noticed a noticeable slowdown in performance. The code compilation takes longer than usual, and there's a lag when running/debugging my projects. It's becoming a bit frustrating, especially when I'm on a tight deadline.

Steps I've Taken:

Checked for any background processes hogging resources.
Ensured my Visual Studio Code is updated to the latest version.
Verified that my laptop meets the system requirements for Visual Studio Code and Node.js.
Cleared unnecessary files and temporary caches.

No recent hardware or software changes.
The laptop is relatively new (purchased six months ago), and I haven't experienced this issue with other applications.

Have any of you faced similar issues, and if so, how did you troubleshoot and resolve them? Any tips on optimizing a Lenovo laptop for smoother coding would be immensely appreciated!

Thanks a ton in advance for your collective wisdom!

Best regards,
