Apple has introduced an allegedly more user-repairable build with its new iPhone 15 line-up. However, according to some of the first teardown videos to emerge online, some of the series' other upgrades might actually make their dissembly more complicated in parts, particularly for the higher-end Pro models. In addition, the dreaded software locks are seen to be still firmly in place.

QuoteThen again, there is still a chance that most of these issues could be addressed through iOS upgrades over time.
Yes by including more software locks for the few components that can be swapped out. iPhones get less and less repairable each year but Apple always throws users a greenwashing bone that they can gobble up. This year it's more repairable back glass but that has a software lock while earlier models didn't.

As Louis Rossman explained in a video, it's easys to make manufacturer change this behavior.

Simply stop buying their crap products.
When cash flow will be plummeting, they'll have to change.
