Ford's inventory of electric vehicles has consistently grown over the last few months, with some calling it a sign of the US carmaker's failure to sell its EVs. Ford, on the other hand, sees growing inventory in dealer lots as a return to normal thanks to an increase in production capacity. This response comes after Ford outpaced Tesla's Q2 2023 EV sales growth and drastically cut prices on its F-150 Lightning electric pickup.

Even though Tesla has more and more brands and models competing against them on the electric car front, still their market share is continuing to steadily grow.

At an international scale, traditional car makers such as Ford, VW, etc. have a serious problem ahead of them: their cars don't have the performance, technology and price that Tesla, BYD and SAIC have, and these three companies are learning how to scale their production.

Less and less people are buying petrol cars, and more people are buying electric cars worldwide, so unless traditional car makers learn how to build better and cheaper electric cars, or Tesla and Chinese brands are going to start eating them up everywhere.
