After LG's intention to beat Panasonic to market with its own 4680 battery production, Elon Musk's electric car company may have found another alternative 4680 cell supplier. Samsung SDI will apparently start mass production of 4680 battery cells in its Malaysian factory next year and deliver up to 12GWh of those to Tesla when the lines are fully operational.
