The ROG Flow X13 has received an upgrade to NVIDIA's latest RTX 30 series GPUs. The laptop remains available with AMD Ryzen 9 5000 APUs, which ASUS has paired with either the GeForce RTX 3050 or the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti.

It is. I own this laptop and if the stupid egpu were available for purchase, I would never use the internal gpu. The integrated graphics are good enough.
They just increased the cost of the laptop for no reason. They should have used that space and cost for a bigger battery.
I'm considering selling this laptop while they are still very scarce. I should be able to get my money back. Then buy a G15.

I must be that one person who bought the X13 for the dGPU, and got XGM after. There are plenty of good TB4 options if you don't need the RTX 3050, since a TB4 eGPU performs the same as XGM when plugged into a 4K monitor.

Having a non-dGPU would be nice as well as a lower-end config with 5600HS, but not having one at all would've been a deal-breaker since you always have to rely on the XGM, which defeats the purpose of portability and this form-factor.

I guess that an upgrade to the internal GPU is a nice consolation for having to wait on availability for the past several weeks.
Don't know when inventory on this will come in.

Interesting... I'm looking forwards to seeing what Ampere can do at these extremely low TDPs. As an architecture, it loses a lot of its performance advantages over Turing at lower resolutions, so that could harm it... on the other hand, it should benefit from the newer manufacturing process at such low power. Aside from that, DLSS is going to be an asset for a system with a 4K display but a GPU that can barely push 60fps at 1080p with high details.

It makes sense to me. I've been looking for a 2-in-1 with light weight and good gaming performance. The 3050 is kinda perfect for a 1080p device like this. I am not currently interested in the egpu option, but it's nice to have the option in the future.
