Before AMD revealed the RDNA 3 architecture, there were widespread rumors of RDNA 3 GPUs reaching >3 GHz clock speeds. But the actual boost frequencies of the RX 7900 XT and the RX 7900 XTX are considerably below 3 GHz. The latest rumors from RedGamingTech claim that AMD may launch a revised Navi 31 GPU inside new RX 7900 series cards that could breach the 3 GHz clock speed barrier.

wow, that's quite some leak if true and the 7990 xtx would be an absolute Mother of a card surely with that much cache and the upped power limit. Lovely stuff and good for consumers, keep going AMD

Redgamingtech is notoriously unreliable and has reported fanciful leaks in the past. It makes no sense to release a 7950xtx and 7950xt and especially the 7950xt with same specs as a 7900xt, when the 7950xt would be weaker than a 7900xtx. Just look at those sku's they make no sense at all. If there is going to be a refresh of 7900 series there will be a 7950xt and it'll be golden samples and possibly faster gddr6 like the 24Gbps mentioned.

Why it makes no sense to fast fix the bug and release new card around 1Ghz higher boost?
