Units are expected to ship as early as January 22 while the $1800 GeForce RTX 3070 configuration will come a bit later. Asus is betting big on both AMD and liquid metal to pull itself ahead of the competition this year.

It's past 2020, so we should use the Rec.2020 color standard now.
45% NTSC is like what, 20% of Rec.2020 color gamut?
On a $,2000+ laptop, I wouldn't take anything below 60%.

there is no consumer display that cover 100% of rec.2020
most of contents are in sRGB/rec.709 color gamut
yeah all laptops should come with 90%+ coverage of sRGB as minimum

I didn't say anything about covering 100% rec.2020.

I said we need to start using the HDR color gamut as an equal standard of measurement across  all display types, including portable consumer grade displays because apparently these displays are "Vesa Certified DisplayHDR".

100% sRGB on any device is a given, but since OEMs have started throwing around "HDR" and "Dolby Vision support" in their marketing material, I only think it's appropriate to use a color gamut that proves it. Besides, we need some kind of wider gamut to compare these premium 100% AdobeRGB/DCI-P3 prosumer displays on a larger scale.

I'm wondering where the 1440p screen options are that they advertise on the g17 product page? Any word on when we can pre-order the wqhd display?
