There is light at the end of the tunnel for the LG G6 and V20

Still holding out on seeing your LG G6 or V20 running Android 9.0 Pie? Well, while LG remains tight-lipped when this month it plans to release the OS upgrade to both devices, but changes to the Android Enterprise Solutions Directory point towards it being soon. Do you reckon that LG will keep to its Q3 2019 schedule for rolling out Android 9.0 Pie to the G6 and V20?

My LG V30 still hasn't got Android 9/pie. I wouldn't hold your breath on G6 or v20 if they still can't get their act together on more recent phones. I've been told pie was coming for my v30 so many times I gave up hoping for it. First it was q1, then q2, now Q3, and it was recently pulled from release for more testing. So as others are adding Android 10,i still wait to "maybe" get Android 9 someday. As soon as my contract is up in a couple months I'm leaving LG for good. I'm with Bell on LG v30 H933.

This makes zero sense. My LG V20 has not seen a security update in over a year. It is almost 3 years old. You can buy them for $100 now. What's the point?

I owned the V20. I'll never buy another LG device. Never. The company is dead to me. It wasn't just the lack of updates. The phone had some inexcusable, show-stopping flaws that I don't care to list here.

After the V20, I bought a OnePlus 6T and haven't looked back. My OnePlus is going to receive Android 10 this month. I get every monthly Android security update Google pushes. I haven't found a single complaint about the 6T. My next phone will also be a OnePlus.

I think in five years, LG will be gasping for breath like HTC is now.

My V20 has never received an upgrade past 7.0.The AT&T kiosk staff at my local mall can't tell me why. That said, the V20 will remain my phone of choice for years to come, thanks to its swappable battery.

Nice to hear believe it when I see it part of my personal cell phones include LG V10 which is up and running LG G6 flimsy sim tray broke bending pins inside while trying to remove the pieces.

My V20 (Sprint running 8.0) runs and looks like it did when I bought it.  It's had a few hiccups along the way, but has always self-corrected itself.  A Ringke case with not a scratch or crack, and a new higher capacity battery has me still with 50% at the end of the day.  This phone will no doubt take me into the 5G era when I'll decide if that's a leap worth taking.

G3, than G5 to V30, all same problem, they seem to be cheaper in the beginning, and depricate like a rock and worth nothing when you trade in. If you have a cracked glass, all repair shops mostly carry apple and samsung screens.
Had a bad batch of note 4's back in the day and moved to LG, was happy for a while. But, I am reluctant to buy another LG product other than laundry machine or a TV perhaps.
Need to get a phone from a new startup or chinese brands, seem to care what the customers want and provide,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,timely too.

My V20 is running version V999520c on 8.0 since Nov 2018; carrier is Verizon. No problem with my device. Not holding my breath for 9.0 and really interested in the V40 or G8, but would really hate to lose battery swapping with V20 - so helpful with my day to day use with a battery charger I bought.  Biggest complaints are the occasional screen burn, tolerable IMO, and the camera; not the best or quickest, respectively.
