XPS 7590 Lag in Video Editing

Hello all:

I recently purchased an XPS 7590 i7, 16gb ram with 512gb of storage. I am relatively new to laptops with this type of performance as well as relatively new to video editing. I filmed some 4k footage and stored it on my SanDisk sad. I am using Filmora9 and dragged the files from the SSD to the new project in Filmora9. Once I am working on a few clips, I get a large amount of lag when trying to scrub through the clips in the timeline. Also, when I push play to watch what I am working on, the video doesn't look all that smooth and 90% of the time the red needle in the timeline does not play through smoothly. It is hard for me to edit because the red needle will just stay put then jump forward all of a sudden.

Your comments and assistance are greatly appreciated.

Thank you all!

Best,

Best,

Try this:

Enable Proxy Mode / Optimized Media in Filmora9
Lower preview quality to 1/2 or 1/4 resolution
Make sure hardware acceleration (GPU) is enabled
Copy footage to internal SSD before editing (if you haven't already)
Close background apps while editing

I'm not someone who drops huge amounts on gam es; I just enjoy testing my luck now and then with small stakes. I've been looking around UK for a casual site that doesn't overwhelm you with spammy ads or tricky terms. A gaming blog pointed me to TenoBet Casino, so I decided to check it out. I spent a couple of hours playing live roulette, and the whole atmosphere felt lighthearted and fair. Making a small deposit was fast, and everything worked without a hitch. It's a great, stress-free spot for a cozy night in.
