The Blood of Dawnwalker director questions the 'point' of 120 FPS as players continue reporting stuttering issues after hotfix 1.05 hits Steam

The Blood of Dawnwalker director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has questioned the value of targeting 120 FPS in a single-player RPG, arguing that performance above 60 FPS should be sufficient. However, players and benchmarks report persistent traversal and camera stutter on PC despite hotfix 1.05's shader compilation improvements.

A lot of gamers today are so obsessed with numbers that they don't even understand what they're playing anymore. It's like that game needs to run at 100000fps, or else it's deemed unplayable. Seriously. 60 is excellent. Anything above that is already a bonus. The funny thing is, a lot of these people complaining don't even see the difference. They just see their fps counters saying it's not 120 so they're saying it's bad.

60fps is GODAWFUL. It's only acceptable in the worst case scenario (bad GPU, old hardware, ray-tracing, etc.). There's also the matter of 0.1% and 1% lows which affect how smooth the game feels.

Most gamers have 144Hz+ monitors these days. More fps = smoother gameplay.
I'm guessing you are the one who might not see the difference between 60 and above. Are you sure your monitor is set to the max supported refresh rate or did you forget to do it just like everyone else who says 60fps is good and there's not much difference in 60+?
