Framework apparently hates Apple Upgrade, Apple's new hardware leasing service

Apple Upgrade is now live in the US. Users can now use the service to lease an iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, or iPad for a monthly fee for a set term. At the end of the term, users can return the device they've leased and upgrade to something new. Framework apparently hates this system.

That isn't the debate.
The debate is whether Apple should be pushing leasing or not.

It has the "You'll own nothing and you'll be happy" vibes + it will probably produce tons of premature discarding of devices (among other things, like people who don't have the means will lease and end up spending more than they responsively should on Apple products, hence enabling a higher amount of bankruptcies on illiterate people).

Framework aren't saying that it shouldn't be allowed. They are saying that they don't like it.

Obviously you can have the opinion that you do like it.
