AMD is reportedly preparing an "AM4 10th Anniversary Edition" Ryzen 7 5800X3D for a Q2 2026 launch, reviving its popular Zen 3 X3D chip with the same core specifications but updated packaging. The move is framed as a pragmatic response to surging DDR5 prices, offering gamers a cost-effective DDR4 upgrade path on the long-lived AM4 platform.

Imagine if AMD ported their new method of placing the 3D Cache under the chiplet instead of on top of it back to the 5800X3D (call it 5850X3D) and enabled OC or at least better clocks/temps. They could charge a premium for it too. But then again they'd have to issue firmware updates so I don't think they'd be interested in doing that. Oh well!
