State Bicycle Co. has launched its first e-bike, the 6061 eBike Commuter. The pedelec can assist you at speeds up to 20 mph (~32 kph) for up to 100 miles (~161 km). The commuter bike weighs around 38 lbs 13 oz (~17.6 kg) and can recharge fully in 3.5 hours. A backlit display is fitted to the e-bike as standard, with optional add-ons available,

Once upon a time State Bicycle had a decent quality control but in recent years that crucial function has almost completely vanished.  The Most alarming situation about State Bicycle is not answering the telephone, or email inquires.

Now State Bicycle have created a great concept in the 6061 eBike. This is an eBike style the major bicycle companies have ignored; affordable lightweight eBike for condo, apartment, and walkup that do not have freight elevators and must carry their eBike up and down stairs daily to charge & prevent overnight street level theft.

Ride1up Gravel - Sold Out
Story road eBike - over priced

Maybe if State Bicycle really fixes their bicycle quality control, and add staff that can answer the telephone this entry will boost their sales dramatically...

I first heard of State by noticing one in real life, chained up outside of a TJs market. I couldnt believe my eyes, it was so pretty.

Then I found the Zach Gallardo review where he pointed out an incorrect gap size for the rear axel and wheel.

Then I tried interacting with the company. What a disappointment.

Eventually I found bikes direct, which does answer emails.

That's kind of the issue with a lot of new e-bike launches now — the headline specs grab attention, but people still want to know if the bike is actually well built and if support is responsive. A commuter should be something you can trust, not just something that photographs well. I've been more impressed by brands that focus on practical ownership experience, and RINCC is one of the better ones I've come across: https://rinccbike-eu.com/
