No Rest for the Wicked dev claims he never liked Baldur’s Gate 3’s $60 Early Access price, saying early supporters should get “some extra love”

No rest didn't need NEARLY the capitol that BG3 needed to get off the ground. Why are we kicking sand at other devs? Won't be buying this based on principal.

Uhh, I paid $50, they increased the price and added features like the OST and art book once it went into preorder and I still got those at no additional cost. And that was 5 weeks before launch, they announced the price increase to $60 for the full release while stating they wouldn't increase it to $70 as had become standard. And the reason I remember it is bc the reason I hadn't bought it sooner was I didn't want to suddenly have to pay additional money to play the full game and they posted that wouldn't happen.

I'd literally have to pay twice what I did for BG3 if it were any other AAA game. For that access and content, you're talking a minimum of $90 and up to $120 w/o any physical goodies. For 5 weeks EA, Ubisoft would likely add a 0 to that.
