When we tested the Dell Pro 14 Plus laptop, we were shocked by the quality of its screen. It is just not up to par, despite the fact that we chose the top model of the PB14255 for the German market. The worst thing: Dell has better screens available, they just do not use them.

Holly cow, those are TN panel numbers! Where did they dig up such a panel? And of course this is the AMD machine. I remember when Lenovo first introduced AMD machines withing their enterprise series - those were also only available with worst panels possible.

Ok..I didn't think it is that bad. At least not all display options are that bad. But even offering this..but others do it too.

Yeah, other examples, where the highest variant is only available with an INTEL CPU/APU: HP Elitebook 1040, LENOVO X1 Carbon and there are probably others, unsurprisingly by DELL, of course, too.

This is PFTC for Dell. This config is also likely their enterprise bulk purchase config, and enterprise buyers DGAF about display quality (as long as it's HD) for their standard issue machines.

No, it is the top of the line resale configuration available for consumers to buy for the German market.
