Future VW electric vehicles are set to look like oldtimers with plenty of knobs and retro instrument clusters. VW EVs are bringing back buttons and 80s-inspired gauges as a counterpoint to the minimalist Tesla interior.

Smart move. Anyone who ever operated a range hood with touch buttons will tell you, they much prefer physical push buttons.
