I actually had a Techno phone in the past [Pova 3]. It had a huge battery [7000 mAh] though it was chunky and decent wired speeds [33W]for the time. But Hi-OS is bloatware ridden [but then majority of companies' are; almost all Chinese OEM engage in this practise and even Samsung isn't exempt] and worst of all, my phone shipped with Android 12 and never got a major upgrade.
The phone was quite bang for a buck, if you may say so, but if software updates is what anyone prioritizes, they should steer clear of it. Techno also has a foldable that's basically less than half the price of a Samsung but I assume the user experience (software side) on it won't be too well in the long run.
