Quote from: radpilot on April 20, 2025, 23:22:37My Yoga Slim 7 gen 8 has the exact same panel but mine is only true black HDR 500.
How dit they get the trueblack HDR 600 certification for the exact same panel?
It is a pity they didn't use a newer panel with HDR 1000
They probably changed the panel firmware to go a little further or the panel can be used in both specifications. Nevertheless, I rather avoid too high brightness, after all, it is all OLED panel...
Quote from: Big bummer: only 90 Hz on May 13, 2025, 09:52:33Only 90 Hz is such a bummer: I recently overclocked my S95B OLED TV from 120 Hz to 144 Hz (+20%) and even then I notice a nice improvement. From 90 Hz to 120 Hz is a much more noticeable improvement.
90 Hz is a good compromise between power draw and smoothness. With a igpu, the idea is casual gaming, so if you reach 90 Hz (native or frame gen) which these, you'll be lucky. For general purposes, it's already great stuff.

The "normal" maximum PD is 100W 20v x 5A, as well as most cables. If you just use it at normal brightness and a tiny bit under the max allowed TDP, it'll use less than 100W. But yes, the included power supply should be at least 20% higher than the laptop's maximum usage.
