Elon Musk is working on an AI-generated game, but Baldur's Gate 3 publishing director Michael Douse isn't convinced. He says AI can be a helpful tool, but it won't fix the industry's biggest issues.

That guy doesn't understand how many creative solo devs or small teams are going to compete on equal footing with his AAA budgets using AI. Yes, that will solve your creative direction problems.

I wonder what sort of rehashed nothingburger AI will give us for a game, something that is predictable and only adds more lipstick on the proverbial pig?

Then again, AAA game studios have been doing just that for years as they aim for safe/proven ideas instead of investing in new ideas.
