Elon Musk has shared that his xAI is working on developing its own version of Wikipedia called Grokipedia. This is meant to help xAI in reaching its ultimate goal of understanding the universe.

"This is meant to help xAI in reaching its ultimate goal of understanding the universe."

Uh... you are kidding right?

Musk has shown over and over that he has no interest in understanding the universe as much as grandstanding, making inane statements and imposing his ideals and ideas on everyone else.

Remember, this is the same guy who built a "subway" system in Las Vegas that was supposed to be world leading and ended up being a taxi service using Teslas that couldn't even use full self-drive because they made the tunnel so narrow only one car could fit through it.

As for Grok being able to detect accurate and inaccurate info, let's not forget when Grok decided for some reason to start spreading statements on X about white farmers in South Africa (Musk's home country) being murdered by black people - which was proven to be false. Grok decided it was so important that it kept injecting it into totally unrelated query responses.

Grokipedia is another attempt to rewrite reality to suit the ego of someone who feels upset by inconvenient facts. And given that it's being written by AI - which we all know never makes any mistakes (10,000 glasses of water anyone?) - I'm sure will it be excellent. /s

it's just the natural path of what AI truly is. A tool to bypass copyright and information moderation. Seize ownership of other peoples work.
