While Game Pass might directly help certain titles, others that are not designed to monetize their user base post-release might be laggards, at least fiscally, as per former Xbox Game Studios General Manager Shannon Loftis.

Been playing games on PS5Pro via PSPlus, and my feeling on this is I appreciate the game as offered on the subscription, but I have zero interest in add-ons/DLC/etc.  I figure I'm old school and I'm only interested in the original vision for a game.  I'm not interested in cosmetics or paying for anything beyond the subscription.  Most DLC I have ever paid for left me feeling a tad disappointed, as if it always felt like an afterthought when they designed it, and actually distracted from my overall experience of the core game itself.

I found Diablo 4 surprisingly really, really dull.  I guess that type of game appealed to me ~20 years ago, now I just found it an absolute button mash with little care about the dynamics beyond surface level, little desire to understand the characters, and a feeling like I was trudging through mud to achieve something.  It just wasn't very fun.

Tried Far Cry 6 and AC:Valhalla, and had a blast with both.  No interest in the DLC of either, though.

I feel I've received great value from the subscription.  My GF and I have played about 10-15 games in a year's worth of time and easily received value.  Don't mind just waiting for past top-rated games to make it down the queue every month, either.  This is my first console since a Nintendo!  I'm liking it a lot more than the PC headaches and upgrade hassles of Windows.  That, too, will never happen again.
