NASA's SpaceX 33rd commercial resupply mission has launched with more than 5,000 pounds (2,270 kilograms) of supplies. Amongst other things, it is carrying the materials for bone loss research. This research could be critical in making future long-duration missions to Mars and the Moon successful.

That's one reason to love the sci-fi movie Ad Astra, directed by James Gray.

After spending too long in space, people would desperately want to return to Earth. Their bodies might still hold up, but their minds won't. The endless darkness will drive them mad. Essentially, being in space is like being in a strict lockdown in a nano apartment in city center (no way to go out and enjoy nature), having an extremely limited friend circle (only a few friends. Ops, they might not be your friends at all), and being banned from having sex (totally impractical to have sex in space due to heavy suits and zero gravity. Ops, and we are talking about months, not days). Those who dare to stay in space have either lost their minds or are desperate to escape something from Earth.
