The title of most popular Ultra phone of 2025 thus far goes to Samsung, according to the latest findings. The Galaxy S25 Ultra has sold about eight times as much as all of its top-end Android namesakes (the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Vivo X200 Ultra) combined. It has also reportedly outdone its 2024 predecessor by about a million units.

Even if all of the three were global, which BTW the 15 Ultra is available globally sans the US, the software of the Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi remain barriers to entry with them ripping off everything from iOS, paired with their über-agressive battery management watchdogs.

Yeah that works in China where people are accustomed to iOS, but in the West, people will see it as a cheap ripoff.

Hence why Samsung still sells like hot cakes despite the cameras not being on the same level, or the lack of bigger Si/C batteries and the like.

It is logical that with Samsung you have 7 years of operating system updates and 2 more years of security patches, while with Xiaomi and other Chinese companies you only get 4 years of operating system and security patches; logically, people prefer to have updated phones.

Couldn't be in China. Samsung has little presence there. If it is, that will be big news.
