The Anker soundcore Nebula X1 Pro Mobile Theater has been announced. This product, said to be a world first, will launch via a crowdfunding campaign. It combines a 4K triple laser projector with an auto micro gimbal and a 7.1.4 channel sound system, housed together in a CoreSuite casing on wheels.

I still don't understand the major discrepancy between business/pro tier projectors and home projectors.

3500lumens is horrible.
We have 10 year old projectors the about the size of a shoe box that push nearly double that.. so why are new projectors so damn weak?

1. Resolution. The more dense the pixels, the less light can shine through them. Business projectors typically ran at 720p back then, these run at 4k, which is 9x more pixels.
2. Light source. Those old projectors used bulbs that were brighter, but only lasted hundreds of hours, making them expensive for home use due to the $100+ per 6-8 month consumable cost. The home theater market  shifted to LED light or lasers that last hundreds of thousands of hours.
