Google Now Playing could soon feature album artwork

Google is reportedly working on a new version of the Now Playing feature. This tool currently only shows the title and artist of a detected track on a Pixel phone's lock screen. It appears that a future release could enable users to view the linked album artwork or add the song to their favourites without unlocking the device.
