Windows has just released the new Windows 11 25H2 update for insiders. The support timeframe will also be reset: Windows 11 will receive two more years of support and security updates for Home and Pro versions, and three years for Enterprise and Education versions. This will give Windows 11 users additional time before upgrading to a successor.

Interesting.. at the exact same time Microsoft decided to let Win 10 users buy a year of support using Windows Reward points, backing up their settings or US$30 cash...

QuoteThis could mean that the company's focus is on the further development of Windows 11 for the time being, even though work is already underway on the Windows successor, presumably Windows 12.

There is no official statement about Windows 12 "already underway". It's also unlikely that Windows 12 will come anytime soon, when Windows 11 market share hasn't even surpassed Windows 10. Looking at how big of a construction site Windows 11 is, there are still lots of feature updates coming, and a Windows 12 release would just mess everything up.
