Unihertz is once again pitching to BlackBerry fans. Accordingly, this smartphone features a keyboard, which should it easier to type long texts, depending on your preferences. The model comes with a somewhat unusual aspect ratio.

You might want to check out the second sentence of the article.

"Accordingly, this smartphone features a keyboard, which should it easier to type long texts, depending on your preferences"

Have a good day. 😉

It's the same keyboard layout as the original Titan Slim. It's not a Blackberry keyboard. That's a problem they had to fix. The original Titan Slim was also way too thick.  This new phone with the 1;1 aspect ratio is probably just shaped more like the BlackBerry Pasport was, but if it is still thick, it will be like a square brick.

Updated specs of course but that's a given.

Call me crazy but that keyboard looks significantly different from the one on the first Titan. It does look significantly more like a blackberry passpor t and if they got the thin this down even a little bit I think it's acceptable because this phone has a gigantic battery. If this has a flagship snapdragon you're talking about the closest thing you can get to a blackberry experience and have it last maybe the next five or six years conservatively. I think that would be even better than the key2 which I owned an eventually stopped using and switched back to my Surface Duo.

Yes, it looks a lot like a BB Pssprt. Personally, that's a plus for me. I always thought BB Pssprts were cool when they were current, but they were beyond what I was willing to pay for a cell phone back then. Accounting for economic for economic conditions like inflation, a new Titan 2 will be significantly less expensive than a BB Pssprt was.

I'm looking forward to getting this new Titan as soon as it is available. I had a Titan Slim and really liked it. I've had a Tank Mini since then and have found it a lot of fun to own and use.

You don't buy a Unihertz to brag about the chip your phone has, or how advanced its cell connection is... They are not who you turn to for "cutting edge technology," in fact their phones are really nothing special (except that they have almost no bloat-ware or pre-installed apps.) Pretty much all cell phones look the same. You get a Unihertz because you're dissatisfied with the prevailing form-factor. They're for people who want something different, that's all there is to it.
