RTX 5050 desktop graphics card slated for a July launch with GDDR7 modules

A new leak suggests Nvidia plans to unveil the entry-level RTX 5050 desktop GPU in July 2025. It will launch with GDDR7 VRAM instead of GDDR6 speculated earlier.

It's nVidia. They'll probably launch a 5050 G7 at $249. Maybe a G6 or 6GB version (RTX 5040?) for $199?

It is tho? Didn't you get the memo? Nvidia's AIB marketshare went from 84% in Q4 2024 to now 92% in Q1 2025.

Even looking at steam hardware surveys, cards like RTX 5060 Ti are beginning to showing up whereas the Rx 9070 despite selling well is no where to be found.
