The baffling Dell renaming of their entire product line, including jettisoning well known product range names like Inspiron and XPS, is proving to be a massive own goal, just as I suspected. Their subsequent product launches haven't made their 3 silo X 3 tier structure any clearer but their chassis designs are now so completely bland and featureless it confirms my most cynical interpretation: this is simply a wheeze to foist uncompetitive or indifferent specced hardware onto unsuspecting business procurement folk or consumers, as the case may be.
